The BX-42S
is a very simple yet effective and durable wood chipper. The chopper is supplied complete with a PTO. A shear pin is built into one side of the power take-off as a safety precaution to serve as a predetermined breaking point in the event of jamming or overload. This means that even larger tractors with more than 100 HP can be used without problems. Engine power should be at least 25-30 hp. The rotation speed of the unit injector should be 540 rpm. The hopper has an opening of 51 x 51 cm; in the lower part the hole size is 10.2 x 25.4 cm. Cuttings with a diameter of no more than 10 cm can be crushed.
Many competitors quote the maximum chopping diameter as the size of the hopper bottom, but this value is unrealistic and may trip the safety mechanism in the PTO. Conifers up to 15 cm wide can be chipped, although such diameters are usually processed into firewood rather than chips. The BX-42S has a very solid finish! Thanks to such strong suction, it is almost impossible to block the grinding unit. The gutter is 152 cm high (plus the height of the bottom connector) and can be rotated 360 degrees. On request we can also supply a 50 cm chute extension. This makes it easy to feed the chips onto a tractor trailer or directly into big bags. You can also change the angle of your throw.
